Walleye Charter Fishing on Lake Erie
Experience a full day of guided walleye fishing aboard our spacious Island Hopper charter boats. Coe Vanna Charters operates from Wild Wings Marina, just west of Port Clinton, Ohio, offering early‑season jig fishing, drift casting, and optional trolling based on your preference.
Our season begins shortly after ice‑out in mid‑March. During April’s peak jig bite, it’s common to land dozens of walleye in just a few hours when conditions line up. We focus on hands‑on drift casting with spinners or “weapons” tipped with nightcrawlers — a favorite among our returning anglers.
What to Expect on Your Walleye Trip
Lake Erie’s Western Basin consistently produces some of the best walleye fishing in the country. Millions of fish migrate through the reefs and open water each year, creating reliable action throughout the season.
Daily limits are typically reached early, and once your group limits out, you’re welcome to continue catch‑and‑release fishing. The Ohio walleye limit is six fish per person per day during March, April, and May — prime trophy season.
Combo Fishing Trips
From late July through October, you can turn any standard seven‑hour trip into a multi‑species adventure. Target a combination of walleye, yellow perch, and smallmouth bass at no additional charter cost — simply cover the bait for perch or bass.
Perch bait: Approximately $10.00 per person per day
Bass bait: Provided at cost
Nightcrawlers, rods, reels, and tackle are included on all trips. If a rod or reel is accidentally broken, it becomes yours at cost.

Coe Vanna Charters operates premium Island Hopper vessels designed for stability, deck space, and comfort. These commercial‑grade boats are ideal for groups and are fully inspected for safety.

Booking Information
A deposit of $200.00 per day is required to reserve your dates. Deposits are refundable in the event of poor weather. Cancellations received 30 days before your trip may be applied to a future booking within one year.
